Montenegro // More use of probation information in criminal proceedings

On 7 July CILC and NHC organise a working meeting for Montenegrin judges and prosecutors on the criminal justice chain and the use of probation information in criminal proceedings. This one-day event will take place at the Judicial Training Centre in Podgorica. The meeting will be opened by the Assistant Minister and Director-General for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions of the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro, Ms. Slavica Rabrenović.

The legal experts will discuss the newly adopted Law on the Execution of Suspended Sentence and Community Service Sentence, the Dutch and Montenegrin criminal justice chain, and the promotion of the use of the Probation Service in Montenegro.

This event is the first in a series of joint meetings between Dutch and Montenegrin legal professionals and is part of a two-year Dutch-Montenegrin project to support to the probation service and the system for alternative sanctions in Montenegro.

This project is funded by the Matra-CoPROL Programme of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
