Matra-South Training Programme Legislation 2015-2018



On behalf of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (the Ministry of Economic Affairs) has commissioned CILC and the Academy for Legislation for the implementation of the Matra-South Training programme Legislation in 2015.

 

The Matra-South Training Programme aims to support democratic changes in the Arab countries and a sustainable transition towards upholding the rule of law and respect for human rights. The program also aims to strengthen the relations between the Netherlands and the targeted Arab countries.

 

The Matra South Programme Legislation 2015 is now open for candidates to submit their application.

 

Who may apply?
The Matra South Training Programme Legislation is intended for senior civil servants (experts and policy-makers) judges, public prosecutors and officers working at the Ministries of Justice and other governmental organizations and who are dealing with legislation and its drafting.

 

Eligible countries in 2015:
Application is open for civil servants from Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia

 

Application deadline:
15 March 2015

 

Training period:
The training programme Legislation will be organized in two parts:
Part 1: from 31 May until 10 June 2015 in The Hague The Netherlands
Part 2: from 04 until 08 October 2015 in Tunis, Tunisia.

 

Language:
The main language of the training is English. Simultaneous interpretation English-Arabic will be provided.

 

Programme costs:
The Netherlands Government will cover the full costs of attendance for selected participants. This includes international travel, accommodation and provision of a living allowance, visa and insurance costs, course fees, course materials, and field visits in The Netherlands and Tunisia, as far as related to the training program.
