PhD candidate of the Nuffic funded project ‘Strengthening the Law Faculties of the Kigali Independent University (ULK) and the National University of Rwanda (NUR)’ graduated at Utrecht University
On 18 December 2013, Usta Kaitesi, the Resident Principal of UR Huye Campus (newly formed university of Rwanda (UR)) and also the Principal of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, graduated at Utrecht University with her PhD thesis on “Genocidal Gender and Sexual Violence. The legacy of the ICTR, Rwanda’s ordinary courts and gacaca courts”.
We congratulate Usta with this major achievement and we hope she will be able to further contribute to the strengthening of the rule of law in Rwanda.
