Project description

The core of the project was to introduce a tailor-made managerial competency model, a competency based human resources management strategy, as well as practical case-based tools to use competencies in the HRM system of the Ministry of Justice. As a result of the project, the HR department in the Croatian Ministry of Justice adopted a more pro-active and assertive position in the career development of staff and are better prepared to define and apply the competency requirements for the various positions within the Ministry of Justice.

    On Friday 22 March CILC organized the closing conference of the IPA Twinning Light Project Strengthening Administrative Capacities of the Croatian Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia at the Information Centre of the European Union in Zagreb. At this conference the backgrounds, main outputs and results of the project were highlighted by high-level representatives of the Croatian Ministry of Justice, the EU Delegation, and the Dutch Embassy.   • Croatia // Delegation informed on HRM in Dutch civil service 4 January 2013
    From Monday 17 till Thursday 20 December CILC organized a study visit for a delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia. The goal of this practical three-day visit was to provide insight in the Human Resource Management (HRM) system of the Dutch civil service. Together with member state project leader Mr. Jacques Mulders and CILC project manager Lino Brosius the Croatian experts visited the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice, the Dutch Prison Services, the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, and the Dutch Institute of Public Administration ROI. The role of HRM in these Ministries, the use of management competencies in selection and recruitment processes and monitoring of performance, and coaching, training and education of civil servants were high on the agenda.
