Macedonia strengthens its capacities for international judicial cooperation in criminal matters: start of the Liaison Prosecutor at EUROJUST
In fighting organized crime, it is of eminent importance to have mechanisms to ensure an efficient and effective international judicial cooperation in criminal matters. For both, the EU Member States and the candidate countries, the cooperation through EUROJUST is one of the cornerstones of cross-border cooperation. The enhancement of the cooperation between the Macedonian prosecution service and EUROJUST is an important element of the regional IPA/2017 “Countering Serious Crime in the Western Balkans” project, as well as the bilateral “Together for Accountability” project. It is therefore with great pleasure that CILC welcomes the start of the first Macedonian Liaison Prosecutor at EUROJUST Ms. Lenche Ristovska. CILC wishes Ms. Ristovska, the prosecutorial authorities in Macedonia and EUROJUST success in their strengthened cooperation.“
