Introduction
The Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC) is looking for a project logistics and events intern (38 hours/week) to support the project “Fair, Transparent, and Accountable Criminal Justice System in Ukraine Phase II” (abbreviated as “Accountability II”) as well as other projects and events when necessary.
CILC is a global project organization based in The Hague, Netherlands that focuses on international legal cooperation and capacity building. CILC promotes the rule of law by developing and implementing international legal cooperation projects, and we bring together legal expertise from different countries to develop solutions for various challenges within legal systems in transition. The specific project for which we are recruiting an intern aims to develop a fair, transparent and accountable criminal justice system in Ukraine. It is part of the larger Dutch project “Restoring Dignity and Justice in Ukraine: A whole-of-government approach to advancing accountability for international crimes,” which we are implementing in collaboration with the T.M.C. Asser Institute, the Netherlands Helsinki Committee (NHC), and the International Development Law Organization (IDLO).
Position Description
CILC is looking for an intern to assist primarily with tasks relating to coordination, planning, and implementation of activities, events, and meetings associated with the implementation of the projects in Ukraine and other relevant events.
You will support the project manager and project officer in organizing logistics of missions as well as of events in the Netherlands and abroad. This includes coordinating with hotels , conference details, and meal arrangements, handling travel logistics for a wide variety of stakeholders, and aligning with experts and participants on availability. The intern will also help with financial administration, which includes but is not limited to processing invoices, communicating with CILC’s finance department and project experts on payment requests, and handling logistics regarding financial reporting. The intern will also assist the project team with the organizing and archiving of (digital) documentation.
The position offers hands-on experience in the implementation and logistics of international legal cooperation and international project coordination in a multidisciplinary, cross-cultural environment.
The ideal candidate is a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in hospitality management, management and organization, facility management, leisure or event management, or a similar type of education, with strong organizational and communication skills.
