The 2017-2018 Shiraka Legislation Training Programme successfully came to an end in April 2018 in Cairo. The three day training was a follow up to the 10 day training that took place in The Hague in November 2017. The workshop in Cairo focused on the Integrated Assessment Framework (IAK in Dutch); an innovative Dutch legislative tool. The training allowed the participants to apply the IAK, consisting of 7 questions, to real-life cases from the Middle East and North Africa. The participants, consisting of 25 civil servants from the region, also had the opportunity to meet with the alumni from the 2016-2017 training to exchange their experiences and further develop their networks.
