As an organisation in the field of international legal cooperation, CILC’s work spans dozens of countries around the globe. For almost 35 years, CILC staff and experts travel the world to develop solutions for a variety of challenges within legal systems on the move. Throughout this period, we’ve build a large international network of legal professionals, partners, colleagues, friends. And sometimes, we run into old friends and reconnect. For example Laila Al-Zwaini. Twenty years ago she went for CILC on a mission to Yemen and she wrote about it in the national daily NRC Handelsblad. We thought it would be nice to post this personal story from back then.
