Crimmigratie & Recht (C&R) is a new law journal on the subject of ‘crimmigration’, issued by publishing house Boom juridisch.

Crimmigration is the latest development in law, combining immigration law and criminal law to regulate migration or to influence the positioning of migrants. The journal scrutinizes foremost the consequences of merging these two separate body of laws, and aims to contribute to jurisdiction, legislation, and academic literature alike.

C&R will be of interest to members of constitutional authorities, law firms, academia as well as to practitioners of criminal law, immigration law and asylum law.

The editorial team consists of: mr. E.H.M. Druijf (Courtroom Midden-Nederland), mr. dr. L.A. van Noorloos (Tilburg Law School), mr. A. Pahladsingh (Council of State), prof. mr. P.R. Rodrigues (University of Leiden), mr. J.R.K.A.M. Waasdorp (Council of State), and mr. Marq Wijngaarden (Prakken d’Oliveira Human Rights Lawyers).

The articles are written in Dutch and in the English language:

• Judical review of the term ‘serious threat to public policy’ regarding entry bans
(Article in Dutch, short summary in English)
• Criminal law sanctions and the Return Directive: the position of illegaly staying third-country nationals in the European Union
