Project description

This project is a follow-up training for legal disseminators in Indonesia. The aim is to give a refresher course to the trainers from BPSDM and BPHN, who previously participated in the project “Development of Education and Training Programme for Legal Dissemination StuNedIV/TM-138” funded by Nuffic-Neso, under the StuNed budget, in July and March of 2019.

The training will focus on giving the trainers the knowledge and skills necessary to function both as effectives coaches as well as trainers of legal disseminators. The training includes a ‘field experience’ approach, mixing theory and practice together, thereby enabling the participants to become aware of their job expectations, tasks and duties and perform these well. The training participants will also update their skills on the use of modern and digital learning methods for training; essential for the delivery of dissemination activities for the new Legal Disseminators.

The ultimate goal of this training is to not only to increase the outreach of legal disseminators, but also to deliver good service to justice seekers, particularly those in remote areas where legal services are scarce. This refresher course will, therefore, contribute towards access to justice for poor and marginalized members of Indonesian society.

Aside from capacity building, the training aims to reduce institutional gaps and strengthen coordination between BPSDM and BPHN in delivering appropriate training for legal disseminators, based on professional competences.
