The Hague // Becoming a NAP1325 signatory

CILC is happy to announce that it has become a NAP1325 signatory. With gender becoming more and more important in our work, CILC has decided to take the step to join the NAP1325 community and pledge to foster the role of women in peace and security.

In 2000, the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 1325 on ‘Women, Peace and Security’. Following this, the Netherlands drafted a National Action Plan (NAP1325) to oversee the implementation of the resolution in Dutch government regulations and civil society activities. Over the years, a vibrant community of several ministries and over 60 civil society organisations have pledged to include Resolution 1325 in their work. And now CILC has joined this community. This means we at CILC will upscale our efforts to streamline gender in all our work and to focus more on realising the targets in security and rule of law.
